Reception: Sunday, November 18, 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Please note that the Gallery will be closed December 24th through January 1st.
Highlights from 2012 and Preview of 2013 will be on view at Francine Seders Gallery November 16 through December 23. The show will include works from shows mounted in 2012, new pieces from artists who showed in 2012, and work to be included in upcoming 2013 exhibitions.
In 2012 Francine Seders presented seven solo or two-person main-gallery shows featuring work by Jacqueline Barnett, Jill Bullitt, Marita Dingus, Emily Gherard, Mar Goman, Denzil Hurley, Dale Lindman, Merle Martinson, Robert Storr, Laura Thorne, and Margaret Watson. In addition, the gallery organized an overview of Alan Lau's career with work ranging from 1980 through 2012. Twice during the year Francine Seders turned the gallery over to her artists: Anne Hirondelle curated Abstract Affinities, a show of ceramic work by six invited artists, and Michael Howard curated Decoy, a five-person show of paintings on paper and canvas which included his own work and that of four invited artists.
Francine Seders Gallery has a full calendar of shows scheduled for 2013. Several of the gallery's long-time artists will be featured, including Fred Birchman, Lauri Chambers, Pat De Caro, Norman Lundin, and Michael Spafford. Francine Seders is pleased to welcome back Barbara Earl Thomas who has not had a show of new paintings in several years. In addition to shows for mid-career painters Jeffrey Burgert and Joanne Pavlak, Seders will introduce two new artists to the Seattle area: painter Robert Dozono from Portland and painter/installation artist Joan Backes who is based on the East Coast and works internationally.
